In preparation for our upcoming May 5th Day of Action, we connect with community to ask and learn: "Where are we legislatively, what’s moving, and how do we show up for advocacy?" Join us as we unpack NY state-level policy on CPM midwifery licensure, postpartum safety, and perinatal justice. Featuring:

  • NYCPM: on expansion of Midwifery Licensure and CPM Bill updates

  • PUSH: Paid family leave bill strategy and updates for Speak! Move! Change! National Postpartum Awareness Week for BIPOC (May 3–9)

  • Ancient Song / Birth Justice Institute: Medicaid, informed consent, organizing pathways

  • MMHC: Connecting the threads + collaborative midwifery policy initiative
